Who We Are:
Imago Dei is an independent Catholic faith community that seeks to make the richness of the Catholic Faith, spirituality and tradition available and accessible to the LGBT community its families friends and allies as well as all those who, for some reason, have felt excluded from the Roman Catholic Church.
We invite individuals who were raised as Roman Catholics, or in other Christian faith traditions but due to the Institutional Church's Teaching about homosexuality find an obstacle to receiving the sacraments in the Roman Catholic Church, or their native Church. We also include Catholics whose conscience disagrees with some of the official teaching of Rome in regard to family planning, priestly celibacy, divorce and re-marriage as well as some other issues.
We also extend a loving hand to the parents of Gay and Lesbian Children who have felt the conflict between the loyal love they bear for their children, and following the Faith they have long loved. Finally, we welcome to the Lord’s table our sisters and brothers from other denominations.
